Summer is rolling in, hot and fast, and we all know what that means: bugs! No, wait, it's time for the Amazon Prime Day sales bonanza! I know it only seems like it's been a few weeks since the last one, but no matter, as the next Amazon Prime Day kicks off on July 8 and runs all the way through to July 11. Naturally, all of the other big online retailers will be joining in with delivering the deals, and while we're not there just yet, there are some goodies to be found already.

Well, maybe not so much with graphics cards. These are not the golden GPU days of just a few years ago, and bargains a few and far between. Nvidia's RTX 50 graphics cards are reasonably priced at the low-end but monstrously expensive at the top-end, and its last generation of GPUs have barely fallen in price.

It's not much better over at the AMD camp, with its really good RX 9070 models and really okay RX 9060 cards either being a bit too expensive for what they are or really expensive for what they are. Unless, of course, you happen to live in the UK, in which case you're in luck, as there are loads of great GPU deals!

How do I become a Prime member for Amazon Prime Day?

You can become a Prime member for free for 30 days at Amazon's Prime membership page. You will have to hand Amazon some of your details to do it, however, including your precious credit card details. Just make sure to cancel your membership before the 30 day period runs out if you don't want to pay for Prime.

Intel's new Battlemage chip is only a fraction slower than its last-gen Arc A770, but it's too expensive and too close in price to the B580. It's also worth noting that the drivers still need work, as some games don't like the new architecture. When it's all working fine, you're getting a lot of GPU for the money, though the price is over the MSRP.

As the budget baby of AMD's RDNA 3 family, the RX 7600 faces plenty of competition, and not just from Intel and Nvidia. AMD's previous generation of cards, the RX 6000-series, is just as good, though harder to find new. At this price, though, it's quite a bit cheaper than the RX 6700 XT and in some games, it performs nearly as well, as you can see in our review. It's not the most exciting of graphics cards, though.

ASRock RX 9060 XT | 16 GB GDDR6 | 2048 shaders | 3290 MHz boost | $369.99 at Newegg
The 16 GB version of the RX 9060 XT isn't quite as fast as the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB card when ray tracing is involved, but outside of that, it's generally on par. You don't get as good an upscaling and frame generation system as with the Nvidia GPU, though. On the plus side, it is much cheaper, and that counts for a lot these days.

Gigabyte RTX 5060 Ti | 8 GB GDDR7 | 4608 shaders | 2692 MHz boost | $419.99 $379.99 at Newegg (save $40)
The 8 GB version of the new RTX 5060 Ti should really be cheaper than this, but this is the MSRP that Nvidia has set. You're better off saving a bit more money and waiting for an affordable 16 GB model, though. It won't be any faster, but the extra VRAM is worth having when games start to demand more memory.

Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti | 16 GB GDDR7 | 8960 shaders | 2497 MHz boost | $839.99 at Amazon
At its $749 MSRP, the RTX 5070 Ti is a superb graphics card, but current prices are nowhere near that mark. Instead, you're looking at $100 more for a standard 5070 Ti, which is far less appealing at this price. If you think of it as being like an RTX 4080 with DLSS 4 support, though, then it doesn't seem quite so bad.

Yes, it's $400 over Nvidia's MSRP for the RTX 5080. That's just how things are at the moment. It's arguably not worth the money, either, as the RTX 5080 isn't that much faster than the RTX 4080 it replaces. You do get the full DLSS 4 suite, including Multi Frame Generation, but you're better off waiting until prices become more sensible.

As the budget baby of the RDNA 3 family, the RX 7600 faces a lot of competition. Not just from Intel and Nvidia, but from AMD's older generation of cards, too. While the specs suggest it should only be a little faster than the 4060 Ti, the use of super-speedy GDDR7 gives the little Blackwell GPU a healthy boost. Not worth buying if you already have an RTX 40-series card, but it's a decent upgrade if you have a much older GPU. The 8 GB version is cheaper, though there's no sign of it on retailers' shelves.

The RX 9070 is a really solid mid-range graphics card, provided you can get one at a sensible price. While this deal is a little on the pricey side, it's still better value for money than Nvidia's RTX 50-series. FSR 4 upscaling and frame generation are the best AMD tech in years. The only problem is that the RX 9070 XT is available for only a little extra cash.
